Sharp Coronado Exquisite Pairing of Succulents Adds to a Place of Healing
The healing garden at Sharp Coronado Hospital combines hard and soft landscapes to create a holistic and therapeutic place of respite. To foster connection with nature, designer AVRP Skyport added living walls to the courtyard.
LiveWall typically suggests plant selections that grow tall enough or cascade far enough to completely obscure the molded planter boxes. Here, the design team intentionally chose to include the planters as part of the design.
Each row’s planter color alternates between Cedar and Sage. The color pattern provides visual interest as a backdrop to the smaller succulents which line the green wall planters and reflect vegetation typical of local landscapes.
